API terms

The terms under which Intaq Health Inc. issues organization API keys and answers API calls.

Last updated 2026-09-09.

In short: An API key lets your organization ask bounded questions and get typed answers for your own product or clinical use. No scraping, no bulk export, no training, no redistribution. Your claims, licences and labeling are yours. We meter, log and may revoke.

1. The agreement

These API terms are part of the Terms of Service and apply to every organization API key Intaq Health Inc. (“Intaq”, “we”) issues and to every request made with one. Where these terms and a signed enterprise agreement differ, the signed agreement governs. By creating a key or making a request you accept these terms on behalf of the organization the key belongs to.

2. What the API is

The API answers bounded questions about items you name: whether specific supplements, medicines and conditions interact or are contraindicated; how a formulation scores against safety rules and how it sits against its market category; and what has changed for your own products. It provides information to support a qualified professional’s judgement. It does not diagnose, treat, cure or prevent disease, and it is not a medical device.

3. Keys and access

An organization owner or administrator may create keys with the scopes and rate plan their plan allows. Keys are confidential credentials: keep them on servers you control, never in client applications, and rotate or revoke them when you suspect exposure. You are responsible for every request made with your keys. Access to some endpoints requires the Business plan and, for the Knowledge API, enrollment under a signed no-redistribution agreement.

4. Permitted use

You may use answers within your organization’s own products, services and clinical practice, and show them to your end users or patients together with the disclaimer they came with.

5. Prohibited use

You must not, and must not allow anyone to:

  • scrape, enumerate, sweep or otherwise systematically extract the catalogue, the knowledge base or the rules behind the answers, including by generating inputs for that purpose or by assembling many answers into a copy;
  • export answers in bulk, resell them, redistribute them, publish them as a dataset, or expose them through your own API or model;
  • use answers, in whole or in part, to train, fine-tune, evaluate or distil any machine-learning model;
  • present an answer as a diagnosis, a treatment recommendation, a regulatory authorization, or an endorsement by Intaq;
  • circumvent limits, budgets or metering, including by rotating keys or organizations;
  • send personal information the endpoints do not ask for, including anything that identifies a patient by name.

6. Claims, licences and labeling

A formulation score, a market comparison or a substantiation note is formulation and safety information for professional use. It is not an authorized claim in any jurisdiction. What your product claims, on its label or in its advertising, whether that claim is permitted where you sell, and whether the product holds the licence or registration its market requires, are your responsibility alone. You must not state or imply that Intaq approved a product or a claim.

7. Metering, logging and enforcement

We meter requests and the novel catalogue coverage they reveal, per organization and per rolling day, and answer with a 429 status when a budget is reached. We log every call, attributed to the key and the organization, for twelve months, and we run canary and pattern checks for the uses prohibited in section 5. We may throttle, suspend or revoke keys, and end the agreement, where those checks show prohibited use, without refund of fees for the period affected.

8. Availability and change

The API may change. We publish a changelog and give at least thirty days’ notice before removing or renaming an endpoint or a field. Emergency changes to protect users or the service may take effect at once. We do not promise uninterrupted availability.

9. Intellectual property

The catalogue, the knowledge base, the rules, the scorecards, the market statistics and the wording of answers are Intaq’s. You receive a limited, revocable, non-exclusive licence to use answers as section 4 permits, and nothing else.

10. Warranties, liability and indemnity

The API is provided as described in the Terms of Service’ disclaimer of warranties and limitation of liability, which apply to it. You will indemnify Intaq against claims arising from your use of the API, your products, your claims and labeling, and your handling of end-user or patient information.

11. Ending access

Either party may end API access at any time. Revoking or expiring keys ends access; sections 5, 6, 9 and 10 survive.
