Medical disclaimer
Intaq gives information about supplements, medicines and foods. It is not medical advice and does not replace your clinician.
In short: Intaq does not diagnose, treat or prescribe. Its verdicts come from written, cited rules and can be incomplete. Talk to a clinician before starting, stopping or changing a supplement or a medicine, and call emergency services for an emergency.
1. Information, not care
Everything the Intaq app and this website show you is general information built from published evidence. It is not medical advice, not a diagnosis, not a treatment plan and not a prescription. Using Intaq does not create a relationship with a doctor, pharmacist or other clinician.
2. What the checks can and cannot do
The app compares what you tell it about your supplements, medicines, conditions and meals against written rules, each with its cited source, and explains the result. Evidence about supplements is often thin: many interactions are known only from case reports or small studies, and many combinations have never been studied. A clear result in the app means no cited concern was found; it does not mean a combination is proven safe. The app says when it does not know. Its results depend on what you enter: a medicine, condition or dose you leave out cannot be checked.
3. Never change a medicine because of the app
Do not start, stop, or change the dose of any prescription medicine because of something the app shows. Talk to your doctor or pharmacist first, and show them what the app found. Do the same before starting or stopping a supplement if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, have kidney or liver disease, take a blood thinner, have surgery planned, or take medicines with a narrow safety margin.
4. Emergencies
If you think you or someone else is having a medical emergency, call your local emergency number now. Do not use the app to decide.
5. Your responsibility
You are responsible for the accuracy of what you enter and for the decisions you make. To the extent the law allows, Intaq Health Inc. does not accept liability for decisions taken on the basis of information from the app.
6. Practitioners and brands
Screening and formulation tools offered to clinics and brands are decision support for qualified professionals under a written agreement. They do not replace professional judgement, and the professional remains responsible for the care or the product.
